This quarantine situation has made it difficult to keep track of time. Normal physical markers of passing time (ie, I go to the office on weekdays but not on weekends) are gone, which makes it harder to keep track of the non-physical events and when/where they occurred in time and space.
When you have Crohn’s Disease, it’s important to check in with your body on a regular basis. Sustaining a practice of tracking your health helps you “monitor” what’s going on in your body. Because you’re paying attention, you can see the early warning signs, well, EARLIER.
You have questions: how to track? what to track? where to start?
Never fear, my friend: I made a fun little booklet—a mini-magazine—a zine—to assist.
Introducing Checking In: A Quaranzine!
This ‘zine is a downloadable, printable tool to help you check-in with yourself each week. It’s not about Crohn’s Disease symptoms per se, but more about those external habits that contribute to health that are easy to forget.
It’s easy to construct out of a normal sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ paper. All you need is a printer!
No email needed, I just wanted to create and share. 🙂
How to use the Quaranzine
2. Print
3. Fold into a booklet
4. Fill it out!
- It also doubles as a mini coloring-book
5. You accomplished something, give yourself a gold star
What happens next?
Now you can build yourself a little library of weekly check-ins.
You can document your accomplishments like spinning straw into gold, or getting awakened from a 100-year nap by a charming prince (or maybe just cleaning your kitchen).
You have another anchor to keep yourself on track during this time of blurry days.
Anyway, it’s cute. I had fun making it.
I hope you have fun using it!
